Jerry Bennett For Congress

Jerry Bennett is the current mayor in Palos Hills, a suburb of Chicago and part or the 3^rd district of Illinois. As such he sought election to the U.S. Congress as the Democratic representative of the 3^rd district. He sought to defeat the incumbent congressman at the time, who, although he was a member of the Democratic Party, did not take the traditional Democratic positions on health care, stem cell research or the US presence in Iraq.
